The Birth of a Ministry

Some ministries are built in boardrooms. Ours was born in quiet moments—through conviction, creativity, and a burning sense that God was doing something new.

It started on a day that should’ve been ordinary. Dan had a day off. No big plans, no agenda. But something inside stirred. A whisper. A nudge. A calling that could only be described as divine.

Instead of resting, he opened his laptop and started typing.

What came out wasn’t just a short story. It was a message wrapped in fiction—a parable of grace, pain, and purpose. That story became The Potter’s Hands, a moving allegory about brokenness, restoration, and the Master who reshapes shattered vessels.

Then came Trench Revival, a story set in the chaos of war but saturated with a supernatural peace—the kind that can only come from a Savior who walks through fire and mud to reach a wounded soul.

And somewhere between those stories, something clicked. This wasn’t just about writing. It wasn’t just about fiction. God was doing something more. Around that same time, Kyle felt a distinct call into ministry—a different kind of battlefield where the weapons are truth, prayer, and love. Dave too, had found himself putting up posters in universities and hospitals.

We realized these weren’t isolated events. They were the beginning of a mission. They were the birth of Cross Warriors Ministries.

Cross Warriors.

The name didn’t come from brainstorming sessions or branding strategy. It came from reflection. From wrestling with what it means to follow Jesus in a world that’s growing darker by the day.

To be a Cross Warrior is to embrace the cross daily—not just as a symbol of salvation, but as a way of life.

“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”— Luke 9:23

We are warriors, not because we fight with fists, but because we fight with faith. We wage war, not against people, but against the darkness that holds them captive - and we do it all beneath the banner of the cross.

Why Stories?

Jesus could have chosen any method to reveal truth. He could have delivered lectures, handed out rulebooks, or summoned lightning from the sky. But more often than not, He told stories.

Simple. Visual. Memorable.

“All these things Jesus said to the crowds in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable.”— Matthew 13:34

There’s something eternal about storytelling. A well-told story can bypass defenses. It can pierce through intellectual walls and reach the place where logic alone cannot go—the heart.

Jesus knew that. And we believe He’s still using that method today.

That’s why every story we write—whether it’s set in a battlefield, a courtroom, a prison, or a kitchen table—is infused with truth, hope, and redemption. We aren’t just telling stories. We’re planting seeds. We’re echoing the heart of the Savior, one parable at a time.

The Mission

Our mission is simple in form, yet eternal in weight:

To reach the lost, the broken, and the spiritually searching through the power of story.

We’re not here to impress. We’re not here to build a platform. We’re here to obey.

We don’t know exactly where this road leads. We’re not pretending to have a five-year plan with metrics and milestones. All we know is this:

God is in control. These stories are His. And He will reach who He intends to reach.

That’s our confidence. That’s our peace.

Our Identity as Warriors

We live in a world that wants comfort, applause, and compromise. But Christ calls us to something radically different.

“Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.”— 2 Timothy 2:3

To be a Cross Warrior means embracing that hardship. It means walking into spiritual battle every day, armed not with clever words, but with the Word of God. It means telling stories that might offend the comfortable and comfort the afflicted.

It means carrying the message of Christ with boldness, clarity, and love.

Join the Movement

We’re just getting started. But we believe God is already on the move.

If your heart beats a little faster when you hear this… if you’ve ever felt the tension between the world’s chaos and Christ’s peace… if you believe that words can heal, awaken, and restore—then you might be one of us.

Read the stories. Share them with those who need hope. Pray for this ministry. Partner with us as we follow Christ into unknown territory.

Because stories still matter. Truth still saves. And the cross still changes everything.

Let’s rise up. Let’s speak truth. Let’s fight darkness with light.

We are Cross Warriors and this is just the beginning.
